Hippodrome Charleston SC

There's no other movie experience like a visit to the Hippodrome. First of all, the screen is huge (it used to be an Imax theater years ago). The seating is ample and comfortable, and there really isn't a bad seat in the house. The chairs actually remind me of the seats in a classic car!
Actual movie tickets are the same as any other theater in the area ($10), and concessions seem to be about the same prices as well. The best part, though, is that they also serve wine and beer (buckets, even!), which aren't any more expensive than they would be at a downtown bar.
The theater is located right on the water, so you can go outside and enjoy the view while you contemplate whatever movie you've just seen. ;)
