Charleston premieres of new indie films, documentaries, and shorts.

History

Established in 2008.

The Film Society was started to provide something fun and interesting to do in the Park Circle community on Saturday nights. Over time, it began booking new indies, docs, classics, shorts, and special events, and drawing audiences from the entire tri-county. Currently the Film Society's volunteers serve 2, 500 patrons annually with great films and free popcorn. Many shows are South Carolina premieres. Patrons have driven from Hilton Head, Columbia, and even Greenville, just to see a film.
